7.1 Wine Reviews
7.1.1. Purpose of Wine Reviews
This feature was added based on feedback from judges who wanted a private platform to record personal tasting notes.
- Even if the show they judged is inactive, their DrinkMe account remains active, allowing them continued access to their notes.
7.1.2. Accessing the Wine Reviews Feature
When a judge signs into DrinkMe after a show has concluded, they may see a blank page with no show or class to select. However, they will have access to the Reviews button on the left-hand side.
Steps to Access:
- Click Reviews from the left-hand menu.
- Select Wine Review.
- Use the search function to select any wine in the DrinkMe database.
7.1.3. Writing and Managing Reviews
Judges can write a review for the selected wine and include detailed tasting notes.
Features:
- Reviews can be edited at any time.
- Reviews can be deleted at the judge’s discretion.
- Reviews remain saved and accessible indefinitely, even between competitions.
7.1.4. Privacy and Manager Portal Access
Wine reviews are completely private to the judge and are not shared with exhibitors.
Manager Portal Access:
- Organisers can view reviews and tasting notes under the Reviews section in the Manager Portal.
- Important: These reviews are strictly for internal use and will never be released to exhibitors.

- Provides continuity across multiple shows by enabling judges to reference previous reviews.
